Shepton Beauchamp Pre-School

At the centre of the village every weekday you will find a hive of activity in the Village Hall!
The Pre-School and Playgroup have been under the leadership of Shelley Bacon, the Supervisor for over twenty two years, and she is supported by a team of dedicated staff. The team run a happy, caring, friendly and secure environment for your child to develop and learn at their own pace whilst being part of a community based group.
New members are warmly welcomed and parents can be as involved as they would like to be as it is a registered charity and therefore managed by a voluntary and elected parental committee.
The group has close links with Shepton Beauchamp First School whilst also filtering to other schools in the area.
It received a glowing OFSTED report in 2007 and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is followed.
Grant assistance is available to all children the term after their third birthday and Busy Bee Childcare Vouchers are also accepted.
A friendly Baby & Toddler Group is held every Monday in term time and the playgroup run Pre-3 sessions for two hours on Tuesday and Friday mornings, where children are gently introduced to structure and play before joining for a full morning.
Sessions are run daily from Monday to Friday from 9am – 12.45pm, with a longer all day session available until 3pm if required. Wellie walks, mobile library visits and frequent visits to Shepton Beauchamp First School take place during the children’s pre-school year.
